This PTZ is can work as a stand alone camera with up to a 512GB SD card, or can be connected to a Montavue or compatible ONVIF compliant NVR.   The auto tracking feature allows the camera to identify a target (human/vehicle) and zoom in and follow that target as it moves. SMD 3.0 enables the security camera to accurately pick out only human and vehicle motion and ignore other motion (shadows, bugs, etc) so your motion recordings and notifications are only the important ones.
